below..they are resoring an engine that was on the bottom of the ocean for 90 years..it was a solid block of coral...they have pulled it all apart and going to start it up eventually...its a labour of love 9 a 20 year project)
This is a plate that was nailed to a tree by the dutch....the oldest white mans object in OZ.
WA is very rich in amazing dutch and french history...the stories of the families from the 1800's kept Therese and I interested for hours. The had old watercolours of the coast line along side later day photographs...amazing similarities...I think they painted them looking through a telescope..hence the curved look.
